Skid-plate, heavy flywheel, O-ring chain, chain and rotor guards, the list goes on.....

It's not just the hit, but it makes the bike more difficult to stall and reduces wheel spin.

    $300 ?

    Skid Plate $80
    Rad Guards (if available) $90
    Jetting $20
Hand guards if ya want $80

i'd skip the flywheel for now, especially since you still want to race it.

What detriment could they be? Bail! Guards or no guards, there is enough room for your hands to move freely without getting snagged.....

Well I've run guards with and without the aluminum bracing bar, and I've never endoed. Well if you feel any better, I've crashed pretty bad too from being snagged on my bike.
