    what is the top speed?

    I was just wondering what is the top speed of the crf150r.. my guess is about 68mph.. but has anyone hooked up one of those electronic thingys and maxed it out?

    i think stock top speed is about 58mph

    Not even close! Its easily over 60.. I was going almost 50 on my CRF 80F and that was almost maxed out. My 150 was in 4th gear less than half throttle and keeping up. Its got to be at least 65. Probably more like 68 like what laurencecrfrider said.

    my guess would be about 70 you could bore it out to at least 80 probely more

    i dont think the 150 would have that kind of top speed given that the 250x (with 100 more cc's and a higher, offroad oriented gearing) has a top speed of about 70.

    about 5-10 mph slower than the 250x i believe. I think its around 61 or 62

    Negative. R's have a higher top speed than the X's. (stock anyway).

    Ok, the 150R cannot go as fast as some people say. Maybe upper 50's. C'mon, be reasonable....

    Absolutly not. The CRF250"R" models are racing bikes, therfore faster than a silly trail bike :lol:

    Isn't the gear ratios on a CRF450R and a CRF450X the same for 3rd and 5th gears?

    My bad.. I stand corrected. I just read a review that said they ran about the same on the top end... a year or two ago..

    X actually has a taller 5th !!

    Primary reduction is the same isn't it? And X gears are a little wider (stronger) than the Rs?
