how far can i extended down the screw in the master cyclinder before it becomes a risk? the rear brake position is too high for me and won't positioning it down too much risk popping the c clip?

doesn't extending it down also lessen the play you have in engaging the rear brake? Or falsely start apply it w/o pressure?
