    Removable clutch cover

    by local951 » Thu Sep 27, 2007 3:42 pm

Does anyone make a 2-piece clutch cover, similar to a big bike? Its a pain in the butt having to remove the entire side case when my kid burns up another clutch. Any help??????????please.......

Someone has to make one but I can't seem to locate one either - Seen them for other bikes like KTM with the one cover but not the 150. HUH?

I guess you just have to tell him to stop riding the clutch so much - JK

I assume your putting in the best clutch kit you can find in then to save time huh!

I checked thumper talk and NXS Racing is also looking for one, Someone replied and said SFB makes one for $450 but I didn't see one listed at ALL.

I looked on the SFB website for a photo and couldn't find a listing or a picture.

And on a chance I called Hinson. They said they will have one available within the next month or so. They said it was gonna be killer. After I got off the phone I realized that I forgot to ask the price. I will try them next month.

Which side is the clutch on? Kick starter side or shift lever side? I'm assuming shift lever...

Sorry to sound stupid... There's no fancy magnesium covers on the 150R and I don't tear apart the engine often. I don't abuse the clutch, so I never really to replace it. I guess it is pretty obvious cause theres the big round case on the kick start side.. :? But that just seamed like too much to take off.

I do have a manual, by the way...

Alright. I just checked the manual and all it says it how to adjust the pull, it has nothing about what side the plates are on. Did you guys think I was talking about the lever? I was talking about the plates, to make that clear. The cable goes in to the engine on the shifter side of the bike, not the kick start side, so how am I supposed to know without ever tearing into an engine?
