    Race sag help

    by boxbuilder » Sun Jul 01, 2007 9:05 am

Ok i get great advice on this site so here is another question.I weight about 165 with my gear on.The race sag calls for 3.3" max race sag.Mine is at 4.2 with the spring at minimum length. So the question is can i just change the rear spring or do i have to do the front also. The front feels real stiff i put 7 clicks to the soft side. That help get the push out of it.Any help would be great thanks in advance.Kevin

You can change one without the other but it is not recommended. Stiffer springs in the front will likely make it softer. You will be further up in the stroke and taking advantage of the softer portion of the progression. The difference in a bike sprung for your weight is unbelievable
