    Jetting Adjustments

    by Geno212 » Mon Jun 04, 2007 4:52 pm

Hi, I just found out about this site and am looking for some info. I have some jetting problems with my daughters bike and I want to make sure that I have everything in the right place. I installed the white brothers kit, have the fuel screw at 1&1/2 turns out, I believe the clip in is the second position and the bike still bogs a little and stalls when you quickly rap the throttle then it picks up. I was told to put the stock main jet (135) back in and safety wire the throttle cable and accelerator pump cable ( i believe that is what I heard) together to take care of that but I want to make sure before I get into something out of my home garage mechanic league. Anyone out there have any ideas on this. Please let me know if you need some more info.
    Thanks for help upfront. 8)

welcome to the site! before you undo the WB carb kit you MUST safety wire the AP cam to the throttle cam. this is VERY important for the best results with the WB kit. let us know how it goes.

    Ken,
Thanks for the response and the reassurance. I was a little skeptical when I heard that I had to safety wire a brand new bike part but i will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for the tip and I will definitely be back you have an awesome site here.

I had to put my fuel screw at 3 turns to make it not sputter on take off.

I safety wired the AP to the Throttle and now we get instant response from the the throttle. The fuel screw is out 2 turns and the idle is set a little higher than normal and it seems to be running great. Thanks again for the tips
