I stopped by Santa Clarita Motosports and talked to the service department. They said they just heard about the recall and Honda will be sending letters to affected vin numbers, He said to call if you get the letter and they will order the parts. When the parts are arrive bring the bike in and they will fix it.
By the looks of it were up for a recall. We been riding around 30 hours al together and no probs so far. I will talk to the dealer tomorrow and see what they say.
Dealer told us that European/Spanish 150 R models are not affected. Does anybody know if bike production takes place in one factory, or several factorys worldwide in which case i can understand that certain countries are affected and other not. For me it's hard to believe as one should think that they only use one supplier for the cams regardless of factory location.
I live i Sweden and my sons 150R has the VIN: JH2KE03B5.......followed by 7K000976. The difference from the listed numbers in the recall seems to be that both our and Jack“s 150 has a letter after the 3 in the VIN. Jack has 3A and we have 3B instaed of 33 as in the recall list. As I see it, we are not affected since the VIN does not match. Anyone here who knows more, or can tell about what the letters after the 3 mean?
