This is the perfect bike for someone like my dad who is in his late 50s, 5'6" but wants something that is more of a high performance bike than the TTR125 and CRF230/150F, plus he doesn't want to feel like he always has to wind the thing out to get it going (like an 85 big wheel) and beable to climb hills a little easier/slower. The other nice thing is that when my dad gets one, my wife can borrow this instead of buying her a lame CRF/TTR 125/150 that is super heavy and not very exciting. This is also a perfect bike for people to start to transition to big 4ts.

Who would win in a fight between Superman and Spiderman?

How about Aquaman and the Green Lantern?

    haha me too

I just purchased an 07 CRF250R and love it but, after seeing races on the CR85's last weekend it looks like fun to fly on these bikes. Then I see this new CRF150R. Is 5'7" at 160 #'s to big to get one just for fun?

not if you have the cash. Heck, when we take it out, I will even go "play" on it, and I am 5'11" AND 190. You see all these kooks on pit bikes that are full grown adults (physically, not mentally) so why not. Side note-why do people put up to 10k into a pit bike when you can buy an 85cc that can kill those bikes in every way and be funner to ride?

    rodH,
I agree with you on the 10k pit bikes. I just got the Honda News on the CRF150 and I'm putting my order in tomarrow. Here's a few shots of my new 07 CRF250R.

For a new bike (i.e. CRF150r), how long does it take the aftermarket companies to design and manufacture the basic protection items such as skid plates and radiator braces?

seeing how you have only been on a bike once the 150 will be quite alot of...well power but once you get past that you should be correct hight and weight to have a blast on this bike ;)
What do you do when you have defied all the laws of physics on a dirt bike? Hire a smart guy to create new physics to defy.

What do you mean it wont go faster?

The top speed depends on what you are riding on. We stud up our bikes and ride on our lake, and on the ice i have gotten it up to 60. on dirt it is supposed to go 55 but i havent been able to test it yet. And if you have only ridden once and are 13 i would reccomend not getting this bike. it is very powerful and is a lot of bike packed into a small package. i would say get probably a 125 or something close.
