Got rolling on tear down of the 150R. Shock is boxed up and will go out tomorrow. Spent a good bit of time cleaning the dust and muck off the thing.

I've got a SME catch can to gather the carb vent lines and drain, and I have a Motion Pro coolant catch/recovery tank as well to get mounted.

What are you guys doing with the two crankcase vents? I definitely want to get the one out of the airbox at a minimum

Duh, sometimes i forget that this forum is linked to a vendor site.

How does the Applied kit differ from the Tokyo Mods kit you all also sell?

Once setup correctly these little bikes are a blast.

Guess it's time for an update, although not much has happened so far. My shock got back from my racetech guy, revalved. I'm waiting on the spring for it and the new fork springs to arrive. Sort of on hold till then...

Are you setting yours up for offroad or strictly moto?

I send my road race forks and shocks off to a different guy but would love to find a shock/fork vendor who specializes in dirt.

I'm setting up for asphalt track, although I'll definitely be keeping my dirt wheels.

So you think it's better to go with the 250/450 front brake kit?

    Did you re-valve your forks?

I'm wondering how much I should budget to get my bike done.

The twin piston brake will definitely work better, no question there. I'll have one at some point, just not sure if I'll go with the oversized rotor or not.

I've not had the forks revalved yet but likely will.

Budgeting is a tough call. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

It'll take me a while to get where I can say the bike is done, but I'd guess I'll have put somewhere around $2500 into at that point...

I just bought a CRF150RB last week and convert to supermoto. So far beside installing the 17s and big brake, I just raise the forks thru the triple clamps and crank up the rear preload. All damping is at the max. Wasn't bad on 1st ride just push a little thru the corners and the front end feel is not that good. Just wondering if I have to shorten the forks to cure the problem and whatelse do I need to do to make it handle better.?

Doh! I forgot about this thread for a while.

I got laid off last year and this bike got pushed in a corner more or less. I found quite a bit of my parts trolling forums for used parts. Only thing I have left to get are the expensive parts, 17" wheelset, and fork revalve and slipper clutch.

I got tired of looking at it sit, so I put some tires on the RB rear wheel and R front wheel. I'm going to give it a go next weekend at the track. Not sure how well it'll handle with the tires I have, they are mighty skinny. 90mm front/100mm rear.

I don't think shortening the forks will be absolutely necessary, although a lot of guys do it. You'll definitely get some confidence in the bike with fork/shock valving work.

    Skinny tires = bad idea.

The rear tire held the bead for approx 7 laps before letting go. Not a bad crash, minor low slide no damage done.

Suspension felt decent during the short run. I do need to roll off some shock pre-load but the front did surprisingly well.

On that note I stumbled across a good buy on a 17x3.5 excel rim and got spokes ordered today. As soon as I get ahold of the guy, i'm getting a marchesini front 17x2.5 wheel. Can't swing the rear marchesini right now.

    More to come...
