anyone ever ride in the Lost Trails atv park?

    by killab18 » Tue May 12, 2009 9:45 pm

Hey whats up. im from Long Island, NY trying to find places to ride.

Ive found a few places but really dont know how they are.

First, is The Lost Trails ATV Park. in poconos, pa.
its only 2hrs away from us and sounds pretty cool.

yea its mostly an atv park but bike friendly. me and my brother will be going up hopefully this weekend to check it out.

Next i seen the Majestic Trails in PA but thats about 6hrs away from us. also seems pretty cool.

Then i seen Rausch Creek trails in PA. about 3 1/2hrs away. but their site sucks and really turned me off about the place. they want you to give them $330 for a year membership without even knowning if we will like the trails. Kind of bullshit if you ask me.

thats like buying a pair of sneakers. paying $150 and not being able to look inside the box to see if you even like them. haha.

So on these 3 places can you guys give me some info on them.

and if there are some other spots near me as well.

    thanks

Lost trails is real cool. You will need proof of insurance for your bikes. Lotas of varied terrain. It does get pretty dusty. I do know that majestic has the insurance requirement as well.

aight, i went to the lost trials last weekend. They dont require insurance. They do say you should it but it wont stop you from riding.

It was pretty cool spot. a little rocky for my liking but not bad. still had alot of fun and will go back.

    Hey, look into this though.

    reading anthracite permits.

Get their permit and you can ride on their 18,000 acres of land. $100 a year for permit. they just require insurance.

but that looks like the spot to go riding.

yea thats a little far for what that place has. im sure the place is great. no question there.

but if im going to drive that far we would go to majestic trails. Due to the fact that it has twice as many miles in trails and a motorcross track area.

but we do want to try every place so we will probably still make it up there some time.

and yea, the registered part isnt bad. im going to actually do that tomorrow. lol.

actually these trails (we went sat) are the most extreme ive ever ridden. they took about 5 hours with some rest stops to do 20 miles. we couldnt even get out of first gear about 60 percent of the time in the woods. im sure for 4 wheelers it would be easier, but on a bike it was pretty insane. look for a review of my weekend at demon run in the general section soon :D
