I thought that I would never get a response on here. I'm in Hampton. Where do you usually ride?

I've been going to Slade's Park in Surry here lately, because my other favorite riding spot in Ivor got shut down temporarily. Going to Slade's is getting old. I was reading the Tidewater Dirt Riders forums and seen that there's a guy in Gloucester, King and Queen area that has a mx track and trails he's letting people ride on.

I used to go to Mr. T's also. I'm a TDR member, but I haven't been to the place in the Gloucester area yet. I'd like to get up there and check it out soon. If you are interested in joining TDR there is a meeting tonight and it's only $100 a year to ride their private properties.

I've been wanting to join, but I have family obligations every Thursday night. One of these days soon I'm going to postpone those obligations to a Friday and come to a meeting. Are you guys still meeting at Dennis'?

What does TDR stand for? I'm in richmond and trying to get a few of my friends intrested in riding , but no luck yet.
I just got back into dirt riding after being away for a long time. I'm also older, so I'm more intrested in trails than MX.

TDR stands for Tidewater Dirt Riders. To become a member, you have to come to a meeting and put your name on the waiting list, if there is one at that time. There is also a website for it
www.tidewaterdirtriders.net. There's also info for Robert's track and trails in Gloucester on there along with his website (
www.robertstrackandtrail.com).

I'm in Middlesex County, we have a few private tracks and lots of farmland to ride on, but nothing I know of that's really open to public.
Does anyone know more detail about Roberts Track and Trails in Gloucester?? I found the link in that last post
http://www.robertstrackandtrail.com/home.html.
Has anyone ridden there?
There are a couple of other MX tracks in the area, but I'd much rather ride a trail setting.
Thanks,
John

I've been there 3 times in the past year. Most of the jumps on the track are not rollable, but you can go around them. The tallest one is probably 4 ft. high. There is a couple of table tops. The trails are great! They are well marked and wide enough for a quad. Quads are allowed. I'd go there almost every weekend if it wasn't a 2 hr. drive for me.

Thanks Killswitch
I see he's open to public every Saturday from 9 to 5 for just a donation.
How much is expected for the donation...?? $5... too little? $10... $20?? He's got to have cost for keeping the place up.
This place is only about 20 minutes from my house, I'm looking forward to having a warm Saturday where I can break free to go for a ride (this is more difficult than it sounds).
