    Winter is finally here...

    by Malindor » Mon Dec 17, 2007 6:46 am

We finally got our first real snow storm of the year. About 9 inches fell on Sunday, and we had a blast. Took the quads down to the Monroe area and ripped it up in that fluffy white stuff.

I cannot wait until our next one...

If you are excited about snow take a little visit to the UP. Today is the first day I have seen the sun in a good week. I took my bike to my home in lower Michigan a few weeks ago cause there is no use having it at school with me. We have a good 2 feet at least in Houghton right now...and if you go a little outside of Houghton it gets to be more around 3 to 3.5 feet. Ah I love snow :D

Lately the Bike would have been a great choice since we haven't had any real snow in like forever; however, I have a feeling that this year it will be a lot different...

We've actually been meeting our annual snowfall amounts. Just needed to drive to get to it as of late. The riding is great right now in the UP and northern lower.

Sounds like everywhere up there has at least a foot. Indian river, Mancelona area has more...

This is from the trail reports and people returning home saying "dude...you shoulda went, we did 400 miles in 2 days! Snow was awesome!"

Supposed to get nasty tomorrow with rain and +40 temps. Northern lower is supposed to get rain till Sunday then change over to snow. Good accumulations are expected though on Sunday. Farther north you go, the soonber it changes over they say...

Have fun..wish I had a sled. Looking for a Rev to fix up if you here of one that was blew one up and/or wrecked one...in the market.
