I'm heading up to Washington on Thursday and want to stop and just throw a tent down to spend the night somewhere between Medford and Roseburg.
Any good camp sites in the area off of I5?
My other option would be between Kalamath Falls and Bend on 97.
I dont want an RV place, just a state or fed park (cheap and no reservations)

just a FYI,
I ended up staying at Valley of the Rogue state park.
Right off I5. Turned out to be perfectly 1/2 way mark for my trip. after 10 hours of driving it was a good place to kick back. has a nice walking trail along the river.
