Invitation for Paiute Trail and San Rafael Swell Utah

    by pphuff » Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:03 pm

    Dates: May 30 through June 6, 2009

Location: www.lizzieandcharlies.com ATV/RV park, Marysvale Utah. Cabins/RV/tent space available

Itinerary: Ride the Paiute Trail with a mid-week overnight ride/camp in the San Rafael Swell

    Google Maps link: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?oe=utf-8 ... 13819&z=16

Who we are: two brothers...Phil, I'm from Chicago and Brian, he's from NorCal. It's a distance to travel for both of us so we're ardently committed for the entire week. We've so far, made one cabin reservation at Lizzie and Charlie's in Marysvale, and plan to dry camp one or two nights out in the Swell. We've ridden at both PT and SRS, and we'd welcome the opportunity to hook up for a day's ride, share some of our favorite trails, or learn about some new trails we haven't yet ridden. We'd welcome like-minded riders/explorers/ladies/gents from crfsonly for the week or any days in between to join us on the trail. We're advanced riders--we can handle any black diamond terrain. We're also pretty much techno-geeks re: GPS, UTM nav, FRS radios, TOPO maps etc, but know how to have great time too. Contact me if interested or would like more details.

I am not going to be able to join this ride but I am interested in the area. Is there "black diamond" trails there?

I had herd it is a wonderful place with great scenery but the riding was mellow.

yes, there are black diamond trails east of Marysvale and that's the direction we're going and yes some of the riding is kinda mellow but the upside is you can put on many miles and the scenery is fabulous. We're also going to the Swell mid-week to tackle 5 Miles of Hell. Would love to see more crfs join us and all are welcome.

Coffeepotdoc...send me an IM and I'll give you the details.

yeah...I've watched that 5MOH video several times during the cold Hellinois winter and that's what keeps me living for tomorrow.
