i've been to Red Creek, MS to Red Creek Offroad Park. it wasn't bad. i only had the bike for a week, so i was still getting used to it. trails were kinda more setup for 4 wheelers and had quite a few mud holes (could go around all of them though).

Man, you are in a great area where there use to be a lot of good riding. Camp Shelby first closed to ORV, but left RattleSnake Bay open, until about 2 years ago, when they 'temporarily' closed it.

I understand South of there, near Saucier, the just reopend some trails.

Also, north of you, near Laurel, they are 'thinking about' opening some on Nat. Forest land. Email Ranger Lee and request it being approved rlee01@fs.fed.us <rlee01@fs.fed.us>

In Meridian they have a riding area. It is semi-public, but requires a $60 membership. Check with the Honda dealer there to get info.

There is Denham Creek MX but it was closed this past weekend. It was a honor system but someone tore down the payment box and upset the owner. Denham Creek is located on Hwy 98, about 10 miles but past McClain, MS. It's more like a super pee-wee track, supercross style but everything is easily rollable.

I don't remember the exact mileage but heading towards Hattiesburg on Hwy 98 after McClain you will come upon a truck stop type Texaco gas station. There is a white sign with Denham MX written on it about 2-3 miles further down on the left. The track is about 2 minutes down the road on the left. I do not have a contact number for them.

There is also Irvington, which is at Irvington, AL but it's temporarily closed due to dirt work. Here's their website:
    http://www.irvingtonmotorsportspark.com/

Irvington has about 25 miles or so of trails plus a pee wee track. They are normally open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:00pm until dark and 0800am till dark on most holidays and weekends. They charge $10 for anyone 16 and over, $5 for the little ones. This track is full bore motocross, very safe. 15'-65' jumps with mostly table tops.

    BigOL3 is right.

Camp Shelby was one of the best places to ride around S-Miss, back in the late 80's. Then I moved to Cali and never rode again (except for a couple of stints at Gorman - which was truly awesome).

Anyway, if you get a chance to check out Shelby, it is worth it.

    Good luck.

And while I'm here, we just moved back to MS from Cali and now live in the Jackson area. Anyone got any riding info for the Jackson area? Looking for trails and stuff, although I have heard that the only riding now around here is on private land.

    M Dude,
If you know of private riding land anywhere near Jackson (or anywhere in So. Ms.) let me know. I am only 90 mi. south of Jackson, and have been traveling 200 miles to Forrest Hills, La. I was p!ssed when they closed Rattlesnake Bay.

We went there today and last Sat. They have a new temporary parkinng area, about 13 miles East of Saucier, on the North side of the rode. Only the south loop......20 miles.....is open, due to damage done by Katrina. They are working to reopen the old parking area, and renovating it. Hopefully the other trails will open soon. It is about 2 hrs away from me, but my options are very slim.

Bethel is open again about 10 miles north of I-10 close to biloxi. Right now they only have one 20 mile trail open but it is pretty well groomed. The 2 dirtbike only trails are supposed to open very soon and you will have all Three 11 mile loops open again from what i understand. if anyone needs any info on riding bethel dont hesitate to ask. Desoto Forest also is still saying that rattlesnake bay will open again, it was projected to open this summer but i havent asked the forestry dept. anyone from the Mobile, AL area let me know if you ever want to ride!!

I am moving from Flint, Michigan to Belle Chasse, Louisiana in February and need to find someone ORV areas. Anyone out there recommend any places. Also, where can I get a state ORV sticker and how much do they cost? Here in Michigan you can get them at Walmart and they are only $15. I will probably get ORV stickers for Louisiana and mississippi if they aren't too expensive.
