If your plate has the letters RV on it, then it is solely an offroad registration, to which you still need to add the $25/year OHV sticker.

If your plate has the letters MC on it, then it is a street registered bike and you should have a yearly registration sticker on one side and the $25/year OHV sticker on the other side.

As far as I know, any off-road vehicle that gets registered in AZ will get one of the plates with the RV letters on it. All that plate does is prove that the vehicle is registered.

Not sure how much more for the MC plate. For me, before they made the new rules it was like $70, then when I renewed it it was $4 (plus the $25 for the OHV sticker). I believe when you register for the street they take the RV plate back as an exchange for the MC plate.

$4! but convincing the ppl at the DMV of that is difficult, it is called the limited use road tax, they will try to tell you it needs full inspection and full registration fees, but it doesn't be persistant and they have to give you the limited use road tax registration, which is an MC plate and tag, just have to prove insurance.

When we registered my wife's 230 (2005) back in 2009 as a MC (not RV) the charges were:
    Veh. Lic. Fee $3.00
    Registration $9.25
    Air Quality $1.50
    Title $4.00
    Total $17.75

Plus the $25 for the OHV sticker......they never inspected the bike for the "requirements" for on highway operations. We subsequently changed it back to the RV sticker so we would not have to buy insurance for it and we never operated it on the highway anyway.
    Hope this helps.....

that wass FULL registration, its closer to $90 for a 450 to go that route, by adding the "limited road use" tax to the OHV tag, it is only $4 on top of the OHV $25 fee, and you get a fully street legal MC plate. I've had the same thing for 3 years now
