Hi everyone, looking to hook-up with riders that would like to join a new group of friends formed on-line from various forum/sites that are interested in exploring Baja. I have years of experience riding, hiking, camping, and off-roading down there. The Fall/Winter weather is a great time to travel the northern half of the peninsula. The group is based on riders of intermediate to beginner level and for 250cc riders and up. These rides are not races nor ridden at a dangerous pace. Dangerous being determined my me, ride leader, as to being at above average risk to injury of self/others/or property. For those that have a need for speed and air, I will organize a trip to safer single track courses i.e., former race course sections and MX tracks.
Since we travel as a group, we stop frequently to let others catch up, discuss land features, upcoming terrain challenges, check fuel levels and fitness level.
The purpose of these rides are to expose new riders to the close proximity of great riding across the border, and to do this in a safe and comfortable manner.
We currently are doing day rides from a secured property near the town of Tecate. Future plans are to set-up camp in Laguna Hanson for some overnight trips. But first we should do a few more day rides near the border in order to get familiar with each other and what we need to equip ourselves or our bikes with.
Hope to see ya' on the trail!!
