Taking the family to Hungry Valley for the weekend. Temperatures are supposed to be in the 70s the entire weekend. Looks like a great weekend to ride.

We would love to join you but the red sticker thing is an issue.
Amago Track was excellent last weekend. Ryan can now do all the gap jumps on the Pro track. Weather was perfect and the camping great. We were the only two campers there. We ate at Harrahs Casino and then came back for the campfire smores. Sunday had more riders than Sat. but still never crowded. I even rode Jeff's new bike, it's sooo nice. I can turn that bike on a dime, no need to reach the ground. I also rode our 80 two smoke on the small track and had a blast racing all the kids, taught them how to do the table tops and had mini races. Never could figure out the whoops on that track and my body is feeling it today.

We will be at Dove Springs Oct. 26-29. We don't head south until Jan. and hope we can meet up with you and the family then. Maybe do a Hungry Valley weekend when red sticker opens.

I think we are going to Amago Track this weekend again. There's fire in them thare hills (Temecula and Lake Elsinore) so will have to keep an eye on that. I could smell the smoke from Elsinore this AM.

Yeah, I heard they had a fire in De Luz Canyon. I don't think I am riding this weekend. We got new carpet in the house yesterday, so I am going to be busy putting things back in order.

Going to Ocotillo instead. It's supposed to rain in Hungry Valley.

It sucked. We got blown out on Saturday. Weather.com was wrong again.

    first post!
    Hi, my name is Beau.
Just bought my first (REAL) dirtbike.
    '06 CRF450x
Ordered the standard must have CRF items from the online store.

went for the maiden ride this Saturday, where to? Gorman.

When my friend and I left Burbank, the skies opened! Traffic on the 5N was lite, yet, 45 miles per hour seemed to be the preferred speed. Some people even had their hazard lights flashing.

The closer we got to Gorman, the better the weather became. Pulling up to the campsite to unload, we were shocked that the sun was almost out. 30 minutes later I was riding around in figure eights trying to acclimate myself with the bike, hmmmmm, no mud.

Nice tacky dirt, nice temperature, time to hit the trails. Completed about 35 miles. Gorman was EMPTY, only saw 3 other groups of riders on the trails.

Love the bike! The only thing left to do is learn how to ride the thing!

I am thinking Jawbone next weekend.

Welcome Beau. You barely scratched the surface of the Gorman area, There is a whole lot more to it than a lot of riders ever see. Jawbone is good. Don't go alone. Stop at the Jawbone store and get a Friends of Jawbone map of the area. It's best if you can ride with someone that knows the area.
