Appearance modifications

This is one area were there was considerable discussion and while some conclusions were easy to define others remained more evasive. In the end it appeared the leading appearance likes were:

Body: White plastics, white/black seat cover, black, red, and white customer CRF's Only graphics.

Wheels: Black rims/Nickel Hubs OR Red Rims/ Nickel Hubs

Triple Clamp: Black

Accessory Items(fork bleeders, oil plugs, engine plugs, etc.: Red

Rekluse Clutch Cover: Black

The red CV4 RED radiator hoses that were suggested do not currently exist. They may in time for delivery but it will be close.

Plastics are already set aside and Flu Designs will be manufacturing the custom graphics and seat cover.

I'm working on the rims as we speak. An update on that tomorrow or the next day.

It sounds like it will be beautiful ! That black and white seat is really a cool idea. I'd do my bike up just as your describing, especially if I knew I could get that seat donee perfectly.
I want to know about those CV4 hoses, let me know if you ever carry them, they told me a couple months ago that they may be making them, isn't it just one hose that's different or something ? Doug

ok, if you go with white plastics, what about that red adonized frame idea? I think that would be a neat contrast. But maybe not if your going to make the wheels a different color. We don't want our baby to look like a 93 Suzuki!

Changed my mind after reading the "appearance" forum. Since we are going with white / black. White plastics, Black adnoized frame (but only if it is very shiny and rich like Ken's example post). Everything below the frame should be black if possible, includeing wheels. Black fork tubes.

That with white plastic would have that "shazam" look and "two tone" contrast like RRs bike. Plus, an adonized frame would have enough "bling" to represent the site's bling factor.

Hey fatboy - how about doing a mock up in photo shop White & Black?

i believe the concensus was to leave the frame as is. because the group specified BRP SUB mount which is black and the 22mm offset BRP triples which are also black the fork tubes will stay the stock gold color. the shock body however will be anodized black with some red.

I can claim the shock body as the cheezeburger part of the bike. Thanks Ken. Since I haven't been on in a while, it is hard for me to determine what has been settled and what hasn't.

And I'm stupid.

I believe spokes are Stainless steel.

Anyone who knows anything about anodizing knows that stainless steel can't be anodized because stainless steel is rust resistant, and anodizing is only a controlled porous layer of oxidation (rust) on the surface of metal that is later dyed to make the colors, and sometimes covered with a clear coat for extra durability. This is Type II anodizing I am referring to, which is most common in industries such as Motocross, as well as in Paintball and other sports with blingy parts.

However, If the spokes are aluminum, ignore everything I just said.

Wow Joe! Didn't know you were the ano specialist! I guess you're a little smarter than you look, and very articulate for a 15yr old. God knows you didn't get your smarts from your old man!

Here's a picture of the graphics and seat kit that were laid down on white plastics. They were designed and installed by John Jefferies, owner of Flu Designs.

on the freeway today i was getting big thumbs up...which has never happened before with any other bike i've had in the back. that's a good sign!

btw, these are a one off item. actually a digital not a screen set. in other words another of these does not exist. if there is enough interest that could be changed however.

Well if it's available there's next years color scheme ,man that designer is talented as hell, it's just beautiful.
Imagine Kens smug expression as he gets all those "thumbs up" on the freeway !
The Dirt Rider guys are going to flip when they see this thing .
Tell Kramer he's my hero, and the main reason I read their reviews. He's a tall guy too, he'll love this bike. Doug
