Go with the TRC wheel sets. They are based on OEM parts and I think we should use the most of the platform on which we started. It appears to be very cost effective too. Never mind that we have a sky is the limit budget, let's bring a bike to the game that is not only the best but is still reasonably affordable to the consumer.

Excel rims for sure! The Stockers are pretty wimpy in comparison. As far as the tires go I like the D 756's w/some heavy duty tubes. Geez Ken, you might have to make a poll for every category. I don't see how we will arrive at a majority vote for each modification.

in the case of mods we don't need consensus...that would prove time consuming if not impossible. DR has given me the power to look over the recommendations and the reasoning behind them to make final selections. so, make both recommendations and provide thoughtful reasoning behind them.

Gold Excels. I see too many bikes with black rims now and it has lost its charm. Not that I dont like black rims, they do look good, but GOLD, GOLD!!

If black is chosen, definitely Gold Talon Hubs!!!

definatly like that the idea of having something that the average joe could attain representing us. I cant afford half of the stuff out there. As it is i have been saving for a long time for a steering stabilizer. I cant even justify rims and hibs to the wife until i buy her a lil bike (which is about how much hubs rims and tires cost) so definatly entertain function and affordability.

Don't forget it's Kens money, in the directions it says build the best bike possible, let's build the bike we wish we could build if we had unlimited $$$ like Doug. Let's not short change ourselves and build a bike just so every guy out here could afford it, that's what our regular forum is for and that's what most of us already are doing.

I saw some rims that looked really nice and were yes red... The top flat part where the spokes went through the wheel was red, but the sides of the rims (where the excel writing normally is) where the reglar aluminum color. Looked very trick and I've only seen it once. It keeps it red, but it's not overkill.

As for hubs, If we're going a lot of red around there Chain guide, caliper guard, etc.. let's go polished. If everything else around there is polished, let's go red. Remember, contrast the parts so they stand out.

Black Rims and Black or Red Hubs... I am sure you will use what you already have your hands on so any color would be nice. Sorry, but too much red is just too much red.
