Doc,
I took a baseball sized rock to my plated clavicle yesterday . What are the chances of that hit damaging the plate or the bone underneith? My son and I where out riding yesterday and I was passing him going the other direction and he kicked up this rock and it hit me with good force right on the plate. It hurt like a #$#$$### at the time of impact. But I'm able to move my arm with no pain this morning with a full 100% ROM but the area where it hit is swollen. No bruising that I can see. I'm just worried about bending the plate over the screw heads I guess.

other? is how in the world can a 65 kick up a baseball sized rock? :?: :?:

It you broke the bone AND the plate, the shoulder would be crunching and clicking whenver you moved it.

I have never seen a fracture from a rock. To be on the safe side, get an X-ray if it still huts.

Email Norma and she will send you a script.
