In a recliner

Sorry to hear that.

Sucks when that happens and I've heard the Leatt has a tendency to put the stress onto the collar bone. But like you said, who knows if the impact without the Leatt would've caused a worse injury.

Heal up fast, let us know if we can do anything for you.

either in a recliner as said, or prop your bed up at the end your head is at so ya can lie down without it hurting so much. sorry to hear ya broke it, it hurts like a bi*ch to lie down at first but after about a week and a half it will feel a lot better already, good luck, hope ya heal up fast.

I 'm all for protective equpment and everyone who knows me knows I'm against the type of obstacles that make paralyzing injuries more likely.
However, there were a whole lot of collar bones broken without spinal damage boys.
I think there's something to the Leatt causing more broken collar bones in otherwise benign crashes, and I think there's something to the EVS being quite a bit different in that regard.
If we soon see a major re-design of the Leat then I guess we'll know, and maybe I'm wrong.
Right now I feel pretty good anout the decision to go with the EVS. Doug

As soon as I get full motion and strength back I'm getting back on might be able to finish out the last two races of the season as long as I heal up in normal time.
As the ole saying goes its not a matter of if but of when in this sport. Sleepin still sux half the night in the recliner the other half on the couch and dang vicodin only last for 2 hours errrr!

that bites, but welcome to the club :)

you'll learn to sleep w/o moving, laying flat on the back is most comfortable, and dont roll over!

I slept a few hours flat on my back in a bed with a pillow under my arm to prop it up and take the wieght off. When that started to hurt I would go sleep in the recliner and put one of those bean bag type pillows under my arm. Good luck, Guy

   Nope! No wife for me been down that road twice never again. But I must say if it wasn't for the GF I would be screwed heck I can't even dress my self. This figure of 8 harness has got me all screwed up.

that F'n harness was one of the worst things, that and not being able to put your own shirt on, tie shoes, etc....
