I have went back to the gym after taking some time off( two years). I would say that is some time off!!
I started back with a my old weight program but I am not trying to build size. I want to train for racing hare scramblers and enduro's. So, I put together an endurance strength program. I have alot of high rep, lower weight lifting movements. And of course, cardio!
Well, I hate running and biking inside. I used the stair stepper and like that but it is pretty boring! One day, I was walking by the aroboics room, looked at the schedule and took a step class. I know! You think I am crazy!
Not only was I the only guy in the class, but I got a great work out. This female instructor put me through the ringer. Not only did I get a great workout, but i enjoyed the hour or so doing it.
Now, I am doing step once or twice a week along with my other workout activities. So, if your looking to change up your workout, I would suggest trying a class. The worst that can happen is.. you hate the class, you get really sore, and you get to look at women workout for an hour!
