I rode for about 3 hours yesterday and this am my throttle hand was so sore that I could not button my shirt or turn the key in my office lock. My hand was never numb while riding.

Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?

Thanks

All the time.

My hands get numb after a bit and I stop and stretch them out. I think mine is a carpal tunnel deal.

I switched grips recently to Spiders and I've found I can go farther between stops but it still occurs.

Yep, me too. I rode at the track for a full day of practice, and the next two days, my two littlest fingers on both hands were numb. It wore off, but is still annoying.

My hubby has similar numbing from an old injury (only constant, not just when he rides) and his doc told him it was like carpal tunnel, only the nerves are pinched at the elbow, not the wrist. He's still looking into fixes for it. :?

I tend to rotate my hands a bit on the bars, with my elbows out a bit. This seems to help quite a bit. Also, make sure your gloves are not secured too tightly... this can cut off the blood flow!

The stabilizer helped me out quite a bit. I used to get numbness about every 30 minutes on the bike and it would linger for a couple days after.
Now it's much less frequent, and doesn't stick around too long after the ride.

CHIROPRACTOR...

I had a terrible time with my hands or at least my outside 3 fingers going numb. I went to a Chiropractor and he showed me on one of those full body charts exactly what was causing it to happen. It was pinched in my neck and oddly enough, it transfers down your arms and to your hands. :D After 2 visits... No more numbing at all. Might be a quicker, cheaper alternative to surgery.
