good to hear your healing quick, how did that happen? Did you have to have surgery to repair it?

That's a 3rd degree separation you have there. I have the left side. Had surgery because it was sticking up at such an angle that it looked like I was growing a wing. Basically they strapped it back down with a fancy zip tie. Took much longer to rehab.

I don't think I'd be so worried about the clavicle...I'd be more worried about all the trees and bushes in your chest. Thats got to be annoying as hell come Autumn.

Thats really a grade 5 AC seperation. Lots of guys would have fixed that.

    How is it doing?

OK, since I had what was termed a 3rd degree separation wherein both ligament attachments were torn free, what makes a grade 5 over a 3rd degree, or is it just semantics?

A grade 3 is when the displacement is one bone width.

A grade 4 is when the clavicle is dislocated out the
    back.

A grade five is when the shoulder hangs downward in excess of one bone width.

Remember, the clavicle doesn't ride high. Its where it is supposed to be. The whole upper extremity is drooping.

    Hope this helps

OK, thanks. Sounds like I was more in the 5 range since it looked like I was trying to sprout a wing due to how high the clavicle appeared to be sticking up. The surgeon strapped mine down with a high-tech zip tie! :)
