    Training question 4 Mr California

Hey Will, I have training question for you.
I developed bicipedal,(spelling?),tendonitis in my right arm/shoulder area several years ago while weight training. It never really went away. I stopped the weight lifting and tried to rest it but I'm a mechanic and can't stop all use of the arm. My question is; How do I train my upper body while minimizing impact on that area and preventing further issues? Push ups, bench press, bar dips, etc. all seem to agrivate my arm.

With the limited information you have provided it would be impossible for me to completely understand what happened to you as I am not a doctor. However, if it has been 'years' as you say, I would think about an MRI.

With that being said, if you wanted to train exceptionally light and perform deltoid side raises with a dumbell, this would strengthen your shoulder. Say away from compound movements (more that one joint)until you feel up to par.
