[El Gato 8000]

The starter motor on my 2019 450x went out while on a ride in Baja this weekend. Because I installed a REKLUSE, I could not bump start the bike. While trying to my the Rekluse bump start-able (which failed), we found a loose circlip in the bottom of the case. We’re thinking this loose circlip caused the starter motor to go out of alignment resulting in the starter gears being ground away. Just a theory at this point because we had to abandon the bike. It could not be towed or pushed out of where this occurred. No, I won’t say where, but the location is grim.

Anyone have any similar issues? Really wish the bike had a kick starter this weekend.

Sorry to hear bud that sucks, so what year did they loose the kick start on the 450x ? hope its any easy fix for you.
