Welcome to the site !!
How "new" are we talking here ??? , , and what year are you starting with ?? is it one of the years mentioned ?? , if you are talking 17-20 then most likely , no , if you are talking 09-15-16 , then most everything will fit/swap , as minimal changes were made , but it depends on what parts you are looking at swapping ...... The newest gen bikes have a different layout/frame geometry (they went away from the cab forward that the 09-16 had) ..... you could make the triple clamps fit , but you would need the forks and front caliper/caliper mount .... basically everything on the front end as they are 48mm forks on the new gen , and not sure on the steering stem , I don't know for sure what changes were made at the neck as far as length , so a stem swap may be needed or even locating bearings with the correct id/od to make it fit , you would need to measure bearing id/od's on the gen you have and the new to confirm ..... then the only difference may be the length of the stem itself ........ but you will also have a difference in rake , which is part of the frame and works with the fork lugs to give handling characteristics ... (steep rake or chopper rake)
Swingarm for the latest gen , is different as well as the linkage ...... basically , if you want "newest" gen stuff , you would be better off locating (fairly easy to find) on EBay , a 17-20 frame/roller and use it for your swap ..... keep in mind (hopefully you have researched this) , the frame can't just be cut and welded up and walk away , the frame needs to be heat treated correctly for welding to allow the new cradle to adhere correctly , otherwise you will end up with a frame that will snap where it was welded , if the person/shop that will be doing the conversion does not know about or how to do this , then you are asking for a serious failure .... for your own safety , find someone else who has a reputation for doing these conversions correctly , the last thing you want is to hit a jump , then hit the ground with a unexpected slam
I do not know anyone who has tried to merge your gen with the newest gen , especially to do a 2T conversion ..... like I said , if you want the main items from a new gen , you would be better off getting a 17-20 rolling chassis and call it good (not sure of your budget , so that plays a factor) , or you might just have to settle for using the setup you have , as any wheelbase changes will dramatically affect handling , which can come from swingarm length , linkage differences as well as fork lug offset , as well as clamp offset , all that works together to make a bike handle , or not handle , even a few mm will make a difference ..... sometimes for the worse .....
If you just want the "look" of the newer gen bikes , I believe Polisport make a "Restyle" kit , to give the older bikes the "new " look , which basically makes it "look" just like a new bike ...... but without the functioning features ....
The only thing you can really do is to compare the parts from each gen ..... this would include where the swingarm goes to the frame/engine , the position is important where the shock mount is located on the frame , as that determines the linkage functioning without binding thru the travel , the overall length of the swingarm as well as to the linkage mount from the pivot point on the frame and the shock overall length itself , all needs to be within mm to make it work .... and again , that does not guarantee it will actually handle like a new bike ..... the entire new gen bike is different , from rear wheel hub offset , requiring a spacer for the rear sprocket if the new gen rear wheel/hub is used , unless when setting up the 2T engine , you compensate the offset using the engine as the point of reference , basically there is nothing "the same" on the new gen bikes that would just swap to the older gen , with maybe the exception of the front wheel itself ......... but up to 16 you should be ok .....
