    New CRF owner

    Hi All,

Just join the site from the UK, although I have been lingering in the back ground reading posts for some time.

I'm new to the off road scene although I have had road Motorcyles for 15 years.

I started going off road in April this year after buying a cheap 2003 Yamaha WR450f (which I quickly found was a novice mistake as it was to big, heavy and powerful for me to get the best from it) to see if off roading was for me.

After a couple of mechanical issues resulted in me losing confidence in the bike it was time for a re-think.

I purchased a 2013 CRF 250 X a few weeks ago and have just been out last weekend on a shake down ride, mixture of Fire trails, green lanes and a couple of tricky up hill climbs.

All I can say is WOW!!! what a machine, it never put a wheel wrong, changing direction is a breeze, power is perfect, and it just keeps plugging away.

I have gone from almost giving up on riding off road to wanting to be out riding the trails every opportunity.

I have been reading a lot of the posts and found the info very helpful, I am now thinking of doing the CCC mods although I may just enjoy the bike first while I find my feet ;)

    Regards

    Dave

Congrats on finding a great bike to ride. For the trails, a 250X is a terrific choice.

The CCC mods just make the bike run the way the original engineers intended.

A bunch of lawyers and meddlesome government types choked it off to make themselves feel better.

It will take you 10 minutes or less to put a 155 main jet in, and open up the top of the airbox..
