    ? Buying a bike again

    by Kins2016 » Tue Oct 17, 2017 5:33 pm

Hey guys new to the forum and wanted to get some info on bikes. I've been out of the game of writing for the last 6 to 7 years and going to get back into it. I've always had Hondas so I will be purchasing another Honda but a lot of change since My last bike which was an 06 450 R. I'm looking at spending about four to $4500 and seems I can get anything from a 2011 to 2015. My questions are what are the differences between the years as far as durability, maintenance, and just overall better things than other years. What should I look out for also

Those bikes are all great. Condition is more important than year when they are a used MX bike.

The changes in those years are all pretty small for the basic guys like most of us. The newer you get the more probable to find a bike that has not had too much use or wrenching on it. Usually the biggest improvement as the years get newer is in the suspension.
Honda was not trying to out do anyone through those years and just riding the Honda wave and punching out bikes. That's why they really got left in the dust compared to Yamaha and KTM and others. Still great bikes just fell way behind in being the latest and greatest.
