I have never owned a dirt bike. Ridden them a couple times over the years. I would consider myself a beginner. I bought by son a 70 and he loves it and now he wants me to ride with him.

I am 6'5" 250. I live in Idaho and would like to get into trail riding eventually when my skills get to that point.

Wasn't sure if anyone had any suggestions on what would be a good bike for me? I understand bc of my height and weight I might be limited.

Is a 450 to big for a beginner bike?

The best riders have impeccable precise throttle control. So, CC size doesn't affect them as much.
A CRF250X is a great bike for anyone, beginner on up. When you want more, and your son moves up, you can sell it for what you paid for it.
