    Large rider

I am new to these forums. I am looking at purchasing a new crf250l rally. I am 6'1" and weigh 225 lbs. Does this bike have enough power and suspension for me for street riding (county roads at 60 mph)? Any big riders please respond. Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

I am not that large anymore (weight) but i can say for sure the suspension will be way too soft , and you will need to at the very least , re-spring the bike , power wise , it's not going to be optimal , but if all you're doing is "cruising around" , then it will carry you , but i would guess you won't be racing stoplight to stoplight and winning any money , you may find that since it only puts out between 22-24 HP that its not going to feel much more than a scooter would pulling away from a stop , but the top speed is between 80 to 85 mph so i don't see it as a issue pulling you around , the issue will be in the suspension department , as there is limited adjustability , so your only "real" adjustment will be changing spring rates to keep it from constantly bottoming out from the stock springs and your weight

You might want to read this before you make a purchase , as one of the test riders is about your size
