Got to kick the wheelchair and walker yesterday, so pelvis is about healed, wrist is going well with therapy, still 8 weeks till I can work though, Dr. told me today on a scale of 10, this was a 9.9 for worst he's seen, the radius was shattered so bad, almost not enough bone to plate together, almost ended up with a fused wrist, you can see the gap under the plate in the x-ray

This one is one week after surgery

this one is X-ray from today, 5 weeks after surgery, you can see the gap of missing bone under the plate at the end of the radius bone. You can also see 3 screws in my hand from a break in '01

This one you can see the 9 screws in my wrist

This is today, 5 weeks after surgery, scar healing well, still swollen and WAY deformed

Slow for sure, not sure when, if ever I'll ride again. All my regular riding partners are selling and done after my year, dad, bro-inlaw, and girlfriend all have their bikes for sale

So if anyone is looking for a good used bike, I have 4 listed, 05 450X, 07 450X, 07 250X, and a 99 YZ250, then if I decide to follow, another 05 450X

I have one of those scars, on the inside of my wrist though. Had plate and 5 screws in there for a couple years. I don't recommend it.

No, please do tell, always willing and open to healing advice.
Doing plenty of heat, stretching, and ice, physical therapy 3 times a week, PT and doc both say I'm making excellent progress and actually ahead of expected norm for gaining range of motion, get to start strength exercises tomorrow, usually they wait till 8 weeks and I'm not even at 6 yet. I don't want to rush it though, I unfortunately know the downfalls of pushing back from an injury too hard. I do have great disability insurance though, and work is SLOW right now,and being a comission job, sitting at home getting my check delivered to the front door isn't too bad right now :D

Update on accident from Aug 1st

Another update: Another wrist surgery in late Nov due to joint not aligning/healing properly, had to have a bone graft from my leg put into radius bone, well, still not going very well, Feb 1st will be 6 months out of work, so, bike is for sale. Going to be a LONG time, if ever I am able to get back in the dirt on a MC :(

I have one on the top and bottom now, they removed plate from top and put in in the bottom, along with a bone graft, my wrist is JUNK!

Really sorry to hear that this injury can put an end to something I know you enjoyed a lot. Personally, I don't see how you could safely do much riding with a fused wrist ... bummer friend. Heal quickly.

They haven't fused it yet.....that is yet. That would be last/worst case scenario. My problem is in the joint between the radius and the ulna. They got the carpal/radius joint to align great and it is functioning very well, just my TFCC (ligament from radius to Ulna) is destroyed and the bone/joint between them is smashed to smitherines, so, short of a joint replacment which has only been on the market in the US for about 5 to 6 years, it's just grin and bear it for now. Vary unstable and painful at the time. I WILL be back on a dirt bike in some fashion in the future, just need to get the temptation out of my mind right now, so that is why the sale, I need to give my wrist at least a good year before I even consider it. But for the time being, I picked up a 2005 Yami FZ1 to scratch the itch
