I haven't ridden the area, but hiked the hell out of it. There are trails everywhere around there, and surprisingly many of them allow motos. It's not like Elkins or Pipi where the trails are numbered. But I saw motorcycles and tracks on most of the dirt roads & trails.
The regular old US Forest Service map is the best way to go, they just updated most of the area maps so the trails should be accurate
There is also a ton of snowmobiling trails out near Hope Valley near the 88/89 turn, I think those allow motos.

Let me know how it is if you go.....My guess is there is some great riding out there.

I know that area very well. I used to work up there.

There is a trail that leads to the top of Thunder Mountain. You take the road past Kit Carson lodge and run it all the way to the Boy Scout Camp (Camp Silverado). Stage there and the trail runs past the camp and winds its way up the mountain.

There are also tons of trails on the other side of the lake. They take off from the Stockton Muni Camp just south of Plasse's Saloon. Lot's of Granite.
