Well for trails I'd say the X and track I'd say R. but then again I live in California and all that smog crap here with green stickers and red stickers.....I don't know about Washington so..... But i put a spark arrestor on my R and ride it on trails too. The spark arrestor seems to make most rangers ok with it. The R comes better tuned than the X off the floor and weighs less seeing as there is not battery or lights and other smog stuff. So it all depends what you are looking for in a bike. Electric start? or kick Start? detuned or not detuned off the floor?
