25 mph on NX250. Grabbed too much front brake. Blew my ACL left knee. 3rd degree separation right shoulder. Bruise from left elbow to arm pit and major concusion. When cars were going around me and nobody stopped I got back on bike and rode home. Knee went out again opening the front door. Trip to hospital.

    Dumb part. Beer was involved.

I was riding on a dirt road near my house when I was in 8th grade going about 40...a dog ran out in front of me...I swerved...so did the damn dog! I flew over the handlebars quite a ways and landed square on the top and back of my helmet as I rolled through the landing. Helmet saved my life I'm sure!

I did the typical limb check. I thought my leg was broken from the pain. I knew my wrist was broken from the bone wanting to pop out of the skin!

Dumb part...I got back on my bike and rode (putted) home and learned that it's really hard to twist the throttle with a broken wrist!

There DJ, you're not the only one :)

last week I got too much throtle on th face (way too much) of a 65ft table top. I ended up going completly upside down. I held on to the bars and kept my feet on the pegs the whole time. Over shot the landing and hit the flat, flat on my back with the bike on top of me.

That was thursday and i just got home from the hospital today (tuesday) I am extremly lucky that God was watching over me. I got out of this with an intact spine + cord. My injuries were/are

    brused liver
    internal bleeding
    fractured left hip
    concusion
    brused+swollen back
and Ive couffed up alot of blood

When I first got my crf250 I thought it would act like my old xr250. I was wrong. On my first ride I popped a wheelie over a exposed rock in the woods and wasn't in proper control of the bike. My hand twisted back on the throttle and off I went into the woods doing a wheelie. My collar bone met a decent size sapling and I went flying of the bike.

Broke my collar bone, bruised my back and hit my head on a rock (helmet saved my life too). I did slightly uproot the sapling. So, that's the last time a tree gets in my way.

i came out of a corner squared up and threw the clutch on 3rd and missed a rut due to the dust of the guy in front of me and flew out of it sideways thanks to the rev on the way in. dislocated my shoulder and drove my humorous back into the socket and shattered the ball on my humorous and knocked three chips out of the socket and ripped 94% of my rotor cuff and tore almost every ligament and tendon connected from elbow to shoulder. the first 25 minutes stuck under my bike was bad but the six miles out of the woods on the back of my buddies 450R was worse. the 5 miles of pavement cheating our way back to the truck sucked too. next to the time i broke my back and neck it was the worst pain i have felt. thank god for good friends who will jog 6 miles down the trail to fix and ride your bike out. oh and every bike i own will have bark busters from now on because the right bar was stuck about 2 inches under my throat the whole time i was stuck under the bike, if there was no buster i think the bar would have stabbed my chest or ripped my throat out. at least my 450 owned 2 pine trees before it cut 2 inches into the one that stopped me. 6 to 8 months after they do the surgery in a week or so. but i figure when my arm will reach the bars i'm game. lesson learned, 3rd gear is to fast and front tire needs to be on the ground when avoiding a wash lol all that and i still lost our grudge scramble. only other crash was a dump truck that turned in front of me on my GSXR BIG sudden stop. broke my back in 7 places and my neck in 2. was paralized for a while and then it kinda just came back before i was able to get of the bed which was like 13 months but i can outrun most anybody now and still work on an ambulance so i would say i am very blessed and lucky, just to dumb to quit riding and crashing and jumping and FXing. 2 wheels are just like crack to me for some reason, I just have to stay healthy enough to share it with my kids and pray they dont do some of the crap i used to do

Third time on my new 250X. i went with a friend up in the backroads. we was coming back, i was flying 5th gear, my friend waz behind me. a black bear came out of nowhere, i hit it just as it was running across the road. i flew about 25 ft. i had 2 ride like 2 hours back with my friend on the front of his 125. my bike went off the hill. i severely dislocated my left wrist and put a huge hole in my right elbow. i tweaked the forks and bent the bars a bit on my bike. this all happened a couple weeks ago, 5/25.lol

    check it out:

Well, it being the new millenia, I think you should sue that bear for failure to properly signal, entering a roadway in a hazardous manner, and failure to yield the right-of -way! :)

    Good luck...
    Joe
p.s Hope you get better and back on the bike soon. I am thinking you should be packing in those woods!

Worst crash: Broken femur, broken thumbs, A/C sep left shoulder, and punctured lungs. All in the same wreck.

Dumbest crash: I have to give this one to my son. I was watching him ride his bicycle the other day and he said "Dad, watch this". He stuck his foot in between the front tire and the forks in order to endo. He endoed all right.

broke a wrist in a race while swerving to miss a fallen rider ( good idea, sorta)

Got up and kept riding for 2 miles on 50 mph fire road then back on the track..... ( not so smart idea)
