    Memorial Day

    by Asmith » Mon May 28, 2007 7:30 am

Thanks to all the service members out there. Those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and those lucky enough to come back in one piece.

I am especially thinking about Staff Sgt. Joshua R. Whitaker from the 7th Special Forces Group. He was the nephew of Robb Whitaker (Fat Boy).

His sacrifice seemed to hit home. Most of us will never know a Hero like him.

Thank you for your sacrifice Joshua.

I literally get tears in my eyes at each listing of a hero lost to combat. I feel for their families and loved ones. It is heart wrenching to see the young wives, mothers, children, fathers, brothers and sisters during that time. It is the supreme sacrifice for our freedom. Whether you agree with the war on terror or not, we have to stand behind our troops and support their voluntary service to our country. They are re-enlisting in record numbers because they do understand the price of freedom.

This Memorial day and every day, let's give thanks and support to all who have fought, died, gotten injured or just gave their all for us and our country!

    God bless them all.

Thanks to all the vets out there who have helped keep our country free and safe. With the number of WWII vets almost down to nil, I would especially like to thank them, a citizen army, regular guys who helped show Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor that the USA is not one to be messed with. If we had to go to WWIII today I'm afraid for our country.
