I just gotta ask I had a great ride this week end. We been hitt'n PiPi a lot lately. Usually we will camp/park at a place called Elkins flat for all those familiar. Yesterday we parked at a place just south of PiPi camp ground and hit a few trails (33-36&35-25) All n all only about 60 miles but a lot of good technical stuff 36 and 35 are pretty tight twisties varying from tire wide to about twice that. mild elevation changes and a good amount of loose rocky terrain to powder coated hard pack, all amid fairly dense forest. toss in few square edged roots and that just about sums it up. Most of this area is like this altough the easy to moderate trails are quite abit wider but still a ton of fun. 33 is a fast winding trail many great berms again in the middle of beautiful canopy of trees.(not a great horticulturist so figure oaks pines oh yah Sequoias). We also rode from our camp site to Elkins flat and back this required a bit of fire roads but a little flat track section always mixes well, no?
Any way I had a great ride. My bike ran okay, It was obvious it is time to adjust the valves very hard to start. This was the first I have experienced this as I am typically pretty good with maintainance. Other than that no injuries and some great riding.
Hope you all had a great, safe ride as well. When your done thank a soldier.
