Hey guys I really need some advice here on how to get my 05 450R set up. I am 6'4 and bought the bike from a 5'11 guy. The bike currently has AG3 triple clamp and Pro Taper Hennery/Reed bars (92mm rise). I am very new to ridding and everyone has been telling me to stand up trail ridding but when I do I feel very hunched over and not in control. I would like to get the bars up but not sure how. AG3 has different mount that raise the bars 3mm but that’s pointless. Pro taper offers a Pastrana bar with a 121mm rise but that’s only one inch more then current. How do I get my bars up?
Second I have tried to order the SDG tall seat but no one has it and SDG said it is backordered for another month. What’s the best tall seat out their that’s available? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

You can get the BRP or Scotts Sub Mount. I am not sure if they work with the AG3 triple, but a call would settle that. It will also set you up for the Scotts stabilizer when you realize that you need it.

That coupled with the Pastrana's will raise your bars considerably. You can also get the Fastway footpegs and mount them in the low-boy position to get another 1/2 inch.

I am 6"6" and I needed all of that and could use just a touch more, but can't go there without having something specially made.

You can get the GUTS tall foam and seat cover to raise you seat.

Thanks Jaws for all the advice. I'm going to get the tall bars and the seat I just wish I could get a Sub mount for the RG3 triple clamp as I know I will want a steering dampener but don't what to lose the RG3.
