I have these on my bikes and the instructions were on the back of the package label. If you can't find help, I still have the packaging. I'll see if I can't scan it at work tomorrow and post/PM you what I have.

Look again on that package. My package also has the brake tip info on there, but if you look, there are [small] instructions on exactly what to do with the snake (unless yours is different than mine.)

They are a cable that hooks to your bike frame and the brake pedal. They help prevent your brake pedal from being peeled back when you whack a log, rock, whatever...but don't inhibit braking. Basically, they are a "part protection" device.

    Here is HH's instructions:

"To install, wrap around frame in front of brake tip and thread straight end through lopped end and pull snug. Slide clear tubing over wire to check length to brake tip and trim as necessary. Push straight end through crimp, then through brake and back through crimp and push extra wire into clear tubing. Use proper tool and crimp tight."

my comments: it will likely come with one end looped on itself and the other end will appear to be crimped. the "crimp" can be removed and this is how you remove the clear plastic tube to loop it around the frame.

    hope this helps.
