    Has anyone ever

ventured over to Thumper Talk ?

Apart from AS ... you see him there you see him here ....

Very interesting people seem to inhabit the forums there.

    Not the most friendly ....

Not like here ... like a second home now ...

Like chalk and cheese ... ask a question over "there" and get ready to be chewed up and spat out by a cast of 1,000's ...

    Just my ( 0.02 - tax ) worth ...

    Agreed!!!

    Can be a nasty place.

There is alot more of the other bike guys who'll drop in a quick "Hondas Suck" and leave just as quickly.

    We don't get that here.

The people that are here, want to be here.

Like you said...A second home. :D

A so-so place to visit, but I don't want to live there! :)

I usually just use TT for getting in touch with Midwest folks for riding. I have commented on a couple things, but usually try to just stay away from the specific forums.

I went on TT for the first time in probably a couple of months.

It was funny because some of the people that no longer post here were complaining about the "over moderation" of the 450x forum over there!

In another thread there was of course the vulgar put down of someone here for their opinion in trying to help someone with a problem!

    Just makes me laugh!

Some people just can't find love anywhere! :P :P :P

I think TT is less like a second home and more of a Zoo where you can go see the animals!

Boy did you hit the nail on the head! Of course, we get into our harangues here, but it's usually over pretty fast and cooler heads prevail. Not like the intense rants that go on over there.

Good to see its not just me ...

Was getting a bit paranoid ...reading some of the posts and thinking what are these people on ?

One that caught my attention was about guns etc and some were saying they take a gun when they go riding !!

Now I find that a very strange concept although as most explained it was for protection from wild animals ..

Never taken one actually riding and I am definitely not into collecting or anything, but camping in the middle of the dez is the one place I do always take one (as do most people I have camped with over a lot of years). I have never had a need for it (animals or otherwise), but the world has some strange people as we saw too clearly this week. I would rather have it and not need it than the other way around.
