Is the CRFsOnly forum site kinda slow/jittery...

    by nedirtbikr » Mon Feb 12, 2007 12:03 pm

...or is it just me? I'm trying to figure out if it's the site or my PC. I don't seem to have the problem on other sites. Just curious if you guys are experiencing this with your connections/PC? I use 5Mb circuit at work and a Cox Communications high speed cable connection at home. I don't lose posts or anything...just seems to take quite a delay in publishing posts and bringing up threads.

Sometimes the site seems a bit slow.
Lately I have been getting a message that says you are not authorized to view this page when I am using my home computer.

    Hmmm....

i access our site from three different networks each day. the slowest is a 512K line (up and down) and it's very snappy on that was well. the cable is 1.5 down and it's very snappy. so, i'm confident it's not our server or the network that it's attached to. what speed is your internet connection?

As long as nobody knocks the receiver off the modem, Sean should be getting 14.4 Kbs...

that's funny. i'm going to date myself here but i remember getting my first modem. it was a 300 baud modem but rarely was it able to keep a connection at 300 baud so i often had to throttle it down to 150 baud. thank goodness technology has evolved.

Mine has been slow too. I have cox high speed cable. My wireless is even worse. It's almost like the site has the hic-coughs. It's been that way for at least a week.

i'm on charter cable right now and it's flying...snappy...quick...fast. so, i'm pretty confident it's not our server or network.

Okay...looks like a Cox thing. Cox is our Internet provider at work and, as I mentioned, I have Cox at home. That's cool. It's not that big of a deal...I was just wondering.

    300 baud...that's a good one!!

We run the super Hi-speed DSL at 4.96 Mbps. Faster than most T3 hookups. Never a problem.
