    CAMELBAK FACT

I was told not to buy Camelbak packs cause they support the Sierra Club who does not want us riding ANYWHERE. Anyone else hear this? I saw them for sale here.

That reminds of last weekend. We were riding east from Cal City when we encountered a bunch of camped equestrians who quickly rode/drove out to meet us. Boy they were pissed. Apparently they had a BLM permit to use that area and we were violating it. We agreed to leave the area but they stood out there during their dog and pony show and you could see the daggers flying from their eyes as we slowly rode away. The worst was some fat cow with her hands on her hips mad dogging us, you could see how much they HATED us even thought there were no signs, etc to warn us about the area, and we were polite. After we left I wished we had roosted out of there, they were so arrogant. Now I hate horse people even more and their money pooping beasts, and better than thou nose in the air attitudes. At least after I crash my bike doesn't come over and kick me, and doesn't eat while being stored. LOSERS.

Yeah...I ran into those people a year ago at Cal City. They should post signs to let riders know. I understand their frustration....moto's and horses don't gel....but they are doing nothing to notify riders they are out there. They could put signs along the highway and in the area they are riding so when your coming in you know whats up and where they are.
There is a trail outside of Santa Barbara that is a recreation trail/fire road. It is a cliff hanging fire road and we are all suppose to share it! Gimme a break! Coming around a corner to run into a horse or mt. biker is insane, and hopefully nobody will go off the cliff, and if you do its not one you can climb up or even survive. It should be either or...or designate separate trails for equine and bikes. Talk about daggar stares!

Ran into that in Colorado on a tough 1/2 a single track, dagger stares everywhere. They could hear us coming but we didn't see them until it was near collision, they hated us too even tough it was a "shared" trail. Not surprisingly there were lots of basketball size rocks in all the tough spots as well as misc branches, etc that somehow got there. A-holes......

This was bugging me all day so I called Camelbak. I was assured by the gentleman on the phone they do not support the Sierra Club.

They do too...what...? Support the Sierra Club? If they do its just a rouse as they make green sticker bikes then immediately make "competition only" power up kits to make them run right...politics at its best the Japanese are not fools...
