ok, mabye a stupid question but when lubing the throttle cables do you have to remove them from the throttle drum on the card first, then lube them? or can you do it with them attatched?

Properly lubing the cables requires you to spray until fluid comes out the opposite end. The answer is yes if you don't want to spray stuff directly into your carb...
