    Service Manual protector

    by Ravage » Thu Jan 11, 2007 5:31 pm

Heres a good idea to keep your expensive service manual clean and stain free. I got fed up with getting my greasy fingerprints all over the nice white pages so i went to wal mart (even tho i hate the place) and got some clear page protectors. The ones you slide paper in and then put in a binder. Just use a utility knife to cut the pages out and put them in the protectors. Now the pages stay clean while woking in the shop and the book will lay flat without turning pages with a slight breez. I thought it was a neat idea.

Okay...where were you (and this idea) about six months ago? My manual is so full of fingerprints it's disgusting. Great idea!

Sorry I only paid $20 for mine.

Its still just a book. A finger print on a service manual, oh my god.

bring it to a print shop and ask them to guillitione the edge off it and then encapsulate it leaving a lip all round and then wire bind it -it might cost a little but it will last forever - funny thing is this is what i do for a living and my manual is covered in finger prints !
