Anyway, does anyone know if DOT would issue a tag for the 250X if it had a tail light and mirrors? Or would it have to be the XL??
Is the CRF 250X Street legal??

I was trying to convince my buddy to get a CRF250X but he wants something he can ride to the track

It depends on where you are. It's nearly impossible in California, but quite easy in some states.
You will have to either check your local laws or tell us where you live.
Baja Designs makes kits to bring it up to speed if it is possible where you live.

Can the 250X be street legal in Florida??
Oops sorry, we are in Miami Florida and there aren't too many woodsy areas around here, so we are pretty much stuck in the urban jungle. -

OK, thanks. I did a little research here, and it looks like plating in Florida is almost as bad as California. It doesn't look good. Hopefully someone will chime in here with better news for you.
