While I agree there are a great number that do have a clue, here's what happened at lunch after watching that video. I went to a local restaurant and was talking about it. I said "Name a country that starts with U." First person said "Utah". I almost fell off my chair.

That's not an uncommon thing to do. Most people don't listen very well. That was the first thing that popped into my mind when watching the vid. I squelched it because I had heard the word country. If you had stressed the word country, you will get better results. It is kind of like that thread where they demo'd the ability to read words that are scrambled except for the first and last letters. The brain is a marvelous instrument, but you have to have oral control or the brain spits out the first thing it comes to.

I'm not Spanish but Dutch. I teach my children respect for all people/religions/skincolors. Altough in general Religion = War. I'm not going to make the same mistakes AGAIN! Stop looking in the past and look ahead. Don't get propagandazized/frightened by your or any government. Same happened during the cold war, ask your parents. History repeats itself. WWII was much more then the US helping to free Europe. It was as most wars in their own financial interest + the USSR was walking into Europe (another thread). And don't forget all other countries/people that helped as well. There have always been terrorists. Your president created his own excuus to start the weapon/oil industry going for the benefit of the rich. Do members of the administration send their own children to war? It's always the poor/average guy that goes brainwashed that he is serving his country. Brave man no doubt about that.
Just try to form your own independant opinion and think about what is happening. If terrorism is such a great threat why have there been no more attacks on the US?? Mmm, wonder why that is. Groups that can pull of a WTC attack should be able to attack once more i should think. It's all propaganda to justify their rich man war.
70% of all people are dying of hunger and the other 30% is dying of heart diseases cus they are to fat....shouldn't goverments start to use their $$$ to change that instead of going to war. It's all bollocks....

Today i saw a Spanish Guardia Civil stopping a car and walked to the car with one hand in it's pocket where a US officer would have one hand on the gun.
In all countries there are good and bad people but on this forum there's a lot of discrimiation i.e we are such good ol Americans.

    Peace

I know it's old stuff, but didn't it made you think?! Or is it just creating 2 camps as things like these usually do.

    Anyone saw the loosechange911 documentary?

Sorry but most of us are good ol americans. There might be some discrimination on this board and most of it is against you and your kind. We don't need any stinkin foreigner to tell us how to think. I don't need any frigen investigation on 911. You need to investigate your own country in the province of Aruba! Dutch: what the hell have they done on this planet but to get ran over by any country that wants to take them over. They have nothing between the legs! They can't defend themselves so the U.N. (pathetic bunch) or the U.S.A would have to do it for them.

Not my sole intention. I just see things from a different perspective.
At the end of the day you all have European blood to. And no the Dutch have nothing to show in terms of war power. How can you compare a country so big as the USA with Dutchieland. It's al numbers that makes the US so strong. And it takes strong hands to fulfill that responsibility! (with strong i don't mean aggresive)

    A bit of History:

New Amsterdam (Dutch: Nieuw Amsterdam) was the 17th century Dutch colonial town that later became New York City.

The town developed outside of Fort Amsterdam on Manhattan Island in the New Netherland territory (1614–1664) which was situated between 38 and 42 degrees latitude as a provincial extension of the Dutch Republic from 1624. Provincial possession of the territory was accomplished with the first settlement which was established on Governors Island in 1624. A year later, in 1625, construction of a citadel comprising Fort Amsterdam was commenced. Earlier, the harbor and the river had been discovered, explored and charted by an expedition of the Dutch East India Company captained by Henry Hudson in 1609. From 1611 through 1614, the territory was surveyed and charted by various private commercial companies on behalf of the States General of the Dutch Republic and operated for the interests of private commercial entities prior to official possession as a North American extension of the Dutch Republic in the form of an overseas province in 1624.

The town of New Amsterdam became a city when it received municipal rights in 1653 and was unilaterally reincorporated as New York City in June 1665. This makes NYC the oldest incorporated city in the United States. The town was founded by New Netherland's second director, Willem Verhulst who, together with his council, selected Manhattan Island as the optimal place for permanent settlement in 1625 by the Dutch West India Company. That year, military engineer and surveyor Cryn Fredericksz van Lobbrecht laid out a citadel with Fort Amsterdam as centerpiece. To secure the settlers' property and its surroundings according to Dutch law, the third director, Peter Minuit, created a deed with the Manhattan Indians in 1626 which officially authorized legal possession of Manhattan according to Dutch Laws.

The city, situated on the strategic, fortifiable southern tip of the island of Manhattan was to maintain New Netherland's provincial integrity by defending river access to the company's fur trade operations in the North River, later named Hudson River. Furthermore, it was entrusted to safeguard the West India Company's exclusive access to New Netherland's other two estuaries; the Delaware River and the Connecticut River. New Amsterdam developed into the largest Dutch colonial settlement in the New Netherland province, now the New York Tri-State Region, and remained a Dutch possession until August 1664, when it fell provisionally into the hands of the English.

The Dutch Republic regained it in August 1673 with a fleet of 21 ships, renaming the city "New Orange". New Netherland was ceded permanently to the English in November 1674 in the Treaty of Westminster. The 1625 date of the founding of New Amsterdam is now commemorated in the Official Seal of the City of New York (formerly, the year on the seal was 1664, the year of the provisional Articles of Transfer, ensuring New Netherlanders that they "shall keep and enjoy the liberty of their consciences in religion", negotiated with the English by Petrus Stuyvesant and his council).

How bout this for Dutch history. March 1942 the dutch were not allowed to have sexual relations with Jews. Germans started concentrating all Jews to Amsterdam. the same month all Jews had their motor vehicles taken away. May of 1942 all Jew had to wear a yellow star that indicated being Jewish. In june of 1942 a men and women between ages 16 and 40 would have to work in Germany. Guess what came next! Thats right they were all put into concentration camps. On every tuesday they would collect 1000 Dutch Jews and sent to Auschwitz. Only 25% of all Dutch Jews survived the war. How do like that for History! We all have good and bad history. Don't start.

Isn't that bad stuff from the German's? I didn't know the Dutch had anything to do with that....did i miss something?
I know we all have good and bad, or should we say they had good an bad, and maybe we should say We do it differently....but that may well be not very realistic.

    Cheers

The U.S should have never save the Euros after ww2. The Marshal plan gave the Dutch a billion dollars to rebuild their country and this is how you say thank you, by insulting our president. What a waste of cells you are indeed.
