Started riding in 1970 at 4yrs old. I stopped riding when I was 22 due to college and expenses. I started riding again at age 38, I am 40 now. I ride with many other riders that are older, the eldest is 70. Ride on!!!

47 this August, Just started riding again after not having a bike since 1987.
Did a lot of mountain biking instead.
But you just can't beat turning the throttle on the climbs.
I just rode the Sheetiron 300 and had a great time.

Turned 60 in April, bought my first 2 wheeler (Cushman Postman) in 1962. Been riding something with 2 wheels ever since. The Cushman made a decent off road scoot except the running boards kept getting stuck in the ruts on the muddy Florida dirt roads! Currently ride a 450X in the SoCal desert and think I'm in Heaven! :D

I too had a cushman, But mine was an Eagle. It was all thrashed but it ran great! I rode it in high school (1976), I was far from the coolest kid in town!
But WTF. And you are right they were great fun in the dirt, We used to see who could get the most (feets-up) sidways. As I lived near the San Jose fairgrounds then, Which happened to be in the era of the San Jose Mile!! 8)

Well it looks like we still have plenty of miles left in us, Dorance Johnson at age 82 still doing pro hill climbs. Motorcyclist mag has an article on this incredible man, who has been doin it for more than half a century. And on an BSA powered, custom framed bike he built himself in 1975. Me, I am 47,have been riding since 1972,have had at least 1 bike since then. Sometimes as many as 5. I have gone through many other phases, boats, jet skis, partying, none last like riding.

I'm 45 come the end of June and use to play as a kid up to 19.
For reasons unknown I stopped until 2 years ago.

But work, family, bills probably had a lot to do with the big gap and accounts for a lot of us in the same age group getting back to it with our kids.

The knees are shot and I pay for it the day or two after, but whilst riding no pain except for the odd off.

Best way to relieve stress I know(except that) and you can't beat the freedom.

The stressful thing is finding a place to ride that doesn't result in hours of trailering.

When will I stop, when I can't throw the leg over anymore, then I will just keep riding.

My dad is 57 and just started back riding on a crf 230. He could no longer stand on the side of the trail and watch his grandbabies ride. The only problem my dad has is that we can’t figure out where to install the oxygen bottle so it will be stable and not get caught up in the tree limbs and vines. :D
    Thanks,

I'm 56 and started riding 3years ago so that I could be with my family instead of in the camper all day. My husband, two boys and grandson would come back from a ride with all kinds of adventure stories and I felt left out.

Im almost 43 here. Last time was in my late teens early 20's on dirtbikes and then a couple of street bikes after that. Crashed one week into owning my new one at 40. Nope, can't do the stuff I used to. Now, I do ok. Still hate jumping, but fast flat ground is good. Good family sport. Sons are 17 and 8. Hubby even putts around too.

I'm 42 and will be 43 in August. Started riding again about 7 years ago with a group from work to relieve stress (time flys).
