1. I still ride shopping cart wheelies through the parking lot and ride them like skateboards.
2. A shopping cart pushed into a curb by a jeep at about 50 MPH flies a long way. Two shopping carts pushed by a jeep at 60MPH fly even farther. The bigger the curb the more height.
3. I always get the shopping cart that doesnt drive straight.. (See #2, it's called Karma).
Right on SMash
I like to get a running start and then hop up on the cart and cruise, if you lean one way or the other they steer pretty good.
We use to go behind the Vons and get the carts one guy would sit in the back seat with the windows down, he held the cart and then we would get going about 40 MPH and ram the carts intot he brick wall or the posts that protected the fire hydrants....fun for hours.
I also got bored on day while collecting carts (was working at Albertsons) and I invented what I think should be the next olympic sport...the shopping cart hurl.... What you do is grab the cart by the handle, tthen you spin it much like the Hammer toss at a normal track and field event, if you really get going you can huck the cart far.
Just a couple fun things born of pure boredom growing up in a small desert town
