It would be fine if the government wasn't run by people. they are to easily corrupted, and with that level of power and money you can't really trust them. I think it would really help if new bills had to follow forum guidelines and everything had to pertain to the subject. Example the new spending bill for the war that has riders for some completely unrelated stuff. Anyone can add anything to the bill and that's just wrong.

I have been to quite a few different European countries and all of the family on my Mom's side are British so I have heard a lot of different opinions on the US. Jacobshot: You keep trying to show proof that our gov't and or people are corrupt and have evil plans. You list some very sparse and biased "facts" about media headlines. Well, I will tell you that in a free thinking society, like the US, you will have your 10% of people that are corrupt/evil/twisted etc... it's unavoidable. If you didn't have that 10% and everyone thought the same and acted the same, than that's not free. Believe it or not, if you give 10 men freedom and 9 cure world hunger and the other is Ted Bundy....

The president could take a bill that is passed by both houses and wipe out any provisions before signing without it going back for reapproval.

Supreme Court threw it out in 98. Not in line with separation of powers. Gives the President power of legislation which should only be held by Congress.

I think we should make our legislators commissioned salesmen.

Pass a budget of 90% of Revenue, get 100% of base pay including benefits and retirement.

Go 1% over, get 10% less salary and benefits. Once they exceed Goverment revenues, lose your salary and benefits and retirement and they start kicking in their own money to make up the difference.

I don't think it has anything to do with how smart people are, or the race of them, or that they are trying to make a better life for them self. It all come down to they are here illegal. The true to all of this is, our system sucks. You let thing go for years and years and you get just this. If you ask me it's just like the prison system. They seem to have more rights then us. Don't get me going on that.

What gets me is you get 100,000 plus people marching the streets telling us we should make them all legal here. But how many people did you see protesting this on the streets. The way I look at it is, some many people like to use the phone and the internet to bitch and it does NOTHING. If your not happy about it lets all take a day like these people an march the streets. The amount of people that say they are so unhappy with this in the streets one day would help. The problem is, we are all to lazy or just want to sit in our lazy boy chairs and let other people do it for us. If you guys and other people want to make a difference the world see these marches, and it would put some pressure on the people trying to change the laws. If the illegal didn't do them we, wouldn't be talking about this today.

If we do open up to this, I see not reason to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ every year trying to keep people out of the US. It's not a Mexico thing, it's about everyone that's here illegal.

Let's March, and do more than talk about it and sit by letting our country die a slow death. We know its BS so lets stand up and fight!!!!!!!!!!

The only problem with this is that most of them have so much money 10% loss wouldn't be felt. I say go over and loose all your money and help pay with their own cash. That might wake them up.
